Skittles

Aim: To separate colours by using the process of chromatography.

Materials;

1. containor 
2. skittles

3. water


Process:

Step 1:get a contaner.
Step 2:put the water in the contaner.
Step 3:then put the skittles in the contaner full of water.
Step 4:then wach as the colour comes out of the skittle.
Step 5:then you can eat the skittles.
Step 6:then after that you can tip the water out in the sink.


Findings: After we had put the water in the skittles started to lose there colours and all the colour from the skittles made the water the colour of the skittles the colours of the skittles were red,green,yellow,purple,orange.It was very exciting

Reflection: I learnt from this experiment that water makes skittles lose there colours  the water looked very nice and it looked like a rainbow then after neary all of the colour had come out we go ot eat the skittles thay still hed all there flovours it was amazing.

What did the colours do? The colours come out of the skittles and made the water the colours of the skittles the colours of them were red,purple,orange,yellow.

Did the colours mix together? The colours did not mix together.

Why or why not?Because thay were evenly spreed out.

Aim: To separate colours by using the process of chromatography.

Definition: A technique for separating the different parts of a mixture / solid using liquid.

Rainbow paper

Materals:a cup,paper,water ,felts,black,red,green.

Process:

Step 1:First you need one cup.

Step 2:Second put the cup on a table.

Step 3:Then put some water in the cup.

Step 4:Then get a pice of paper.

Step 5:Then you will need some water felts in the colours black,red,green.

Step 6:Then get the pice of paper with the colours on it and put it in the cup full of water.

Findings: When we put the coloured paper in the water the colours climd up the paper and it was very cool.

Reflection: I learnt that then are many difrent colours in black,red and green that I never now that there were in thoes colours.

When we have a reliever:

Today with our reliever I did some reading then I had all ready done the coment on 3 blogs and I hade finished the time capchul and the leter to my self. Then he read my time capchul and fand out that I was from Australia and that I wanted to be a vet and we looked at a vet school up in the noth Island.

When we have guests in our class I should do my work and not lisen to music and not sit near my friends.

Own Experiment

The Plan.

1. What do we need to find out?How much salt we need to make water unable to freeze overnight in the freezer.
2. How will we find it out? By ding research on the internet.
3. How will we record what we find? Google Slides
4. What equipment do we need for the experiment? freezer, water,Bottle,Salt and a measuring cup.
5. How long will it take? 5 Minutes and overnight.

The Procedure

List them in 6 steps

Step 1;Get a bottle
Step 2:Get a measuring cup
Step 3: Get water & salt
Step 4:Measure your salt and put it in your water
Step 5:Put the salty water in the freezer overnight.
Step 6:The next morning get your salty water form the freezer and make sure it's not frozen.

Dirty Water experiment

Aim:To make a filtration plant using household material.

What is filtration?

Filtration is separating solids from liquids by adding a medium through which only the liquid can pass. 

Examples are:
1.teabag
2.coffee plunger/coffee filter
3.swimming pool
4.kidney

Materials

1.bolttle

2.cup's

3.sand

4.dirty water

5.pebbles

6.filter paper

7.scissors

8.funnel

9.coffee filter

Process - ( use verbs or doing words in each step )

Step 1

Cut the bottle in half.

Step 2

Put the top half upside down in inside the bottle.

STEP 3

Add layers of filter paper then add your sand/pebbles.

STEP 4

Get 1 cup of dirty water .

STEP 5

Pour dirty water into the upside down bottle.

Measurements

It went ok the water was very slow going throw the pebbles/sand and filter paper the was kind of clear it was very fun thow. But we did have to do it agian I was in a group with Danni Shene and me.

Home Chemistry

Materials: baking soda,vinegar,2x cups,tray,measuring cup

Aim:To make a chemical reaction{fizz}

For science we did a experiment on baking soda and vinegar it was very exciting.First you need baking soda,vineger,2x cups,tray,measuring cup put the two cups in the tray then in the first cup pot some  baking soda and then in the other cup put the vinegar in.Then add the vinegar to the cup and the add the baking soda to the second cup .Then watch what happens to the chemical reaction.

Hi welcome back again today we are going to looking at mine and my friends made an imove. By the way we are the second to last group.We did social well the rest of the groups did other dimensions it was very fun doing it hope you in joy it.

Drama

Today my class did drama it was amazing  I was i a group of three there name are shekinah mae and  Tasharn and of cause me we had to practice first . In this picture Tasharn and shekinah mae are pretending to bully me but we are doing a freeze frame we all so had TZ with as it was very fun and exciting. But the only part I did not like was going on stage  but I did it anyway.
