Chicken Stir Fry

Hello fellow readers and welcome, back today's blog post is about what I have been doing in Home Economics. So in Home Economics, we had to make Chicken Stir Fry I was working in a group with 3 other people. I think we worked pretty well but we could have done better on the communication side of things but other than that we worked well. The Chicken Stir Fry was very yummy but the noodles in it did not taste very nice because we overcooked them and they became slimy. This time we got two, photos instead of one. The key nutrients in this recipe are chicken which contains protein and fat. Carrot and onion come under the vitamin category, noodles are carbohydrates, broccoli comes under protein and also is a source of vitamins. The red capsicum comes into the protein and water category as 92% of it is water. Peas belong to the vitamins.

Chicken Stir Fry

Ingredients:

1 Chicken Breast

1 Carrot - julienne strip

1 Onion - diced

3-4 pieces of Broccoli - small florets

1 Zucchini - sliced

Other Vegetables - capsicum, mushrooms, peas, corn, celery, chili, etc

2T Sesame oil

1 pkt 2 min Noodles

Method:

  1. Cut chicken into strips

  2. Place chicken in a glass bowl with sesame oil. Mix together

  3. Prepare vegetables

  4. Sauté chicken and onions together. Sauté means to cook quickly to brown.

  5. Add broccoli and carrots and stir fry (cook) for five minutes.

  6. Add the remaining vegetables and cook for a further 5 min

  7. Bring a pot of water to the boil

  8. Add the broken noodles into the boiling water and cook for 2 minutes

  9. Drain noodles in a colander and add to the vegetable and chicken mixture. Mix together lightly

  10.  Serve

PE

Hello fellow readers and welcome back, today's blog post is about what I did in PE. So in pe, we did Volleyball but sadly  I could not play because I sprained my finger so I had to sit on the sidelines and watch but something that I could do different would be to not talk to the other kids when they go and sit down instead of playing volleyball.

Calypso

Hello fellow readers and welcome back today's blog post is about what we are doing in English today. So for English today we are listening to a song Called Calypso Steel Pan Music. This song reminds me of SpongeBob and it gives off the vibe of like you're at a tropical hotel or at a cultural dance festive but other than that the music is very relaxing and I would listen to this type of music if I was doing some housework.

Here is a link to the song Calypso Music

Types of Energy

Hello fellow readers and welcome, back today's blog post is about what we are doing for science. For science, we are learning about energy transformations. Energy does not get created or destroyed, it just moves from one type to another.

There are 8 different types of energy are Light energy, Heat energy, Sound energy, Kinetic energy, Electrical energy, Gravitational energy, Chemical Potential energy, and Elastic energy. Light energy is from x-rays to visible light,  Heat energy is produced by the movement of particles quickly, Sound energy is vibrating particles that cause sound, Kinetic energy is by allowing anything to move, Electrical energy is found in anything that uses electricity, Gravitational energy is found in objects high off the ground, Chemical Potential energy is found in chemicals like food and fuel, and  Elastic energy is found by stretching things.

An example of this is the marshmallow cannons we made.

1.Cut the base off a cup (polystyrene)

2.Cut the balloon 1/2 way down the neck

3.stretch the balloon

4.Carefully put the balloon over the base of the cup

5. Then put a marshmallow in the bottom of it.

6.Next pull the balloon and see how far it goes.

Here is an animation on how the marshmallow cannon would have worked and the types of energy it uses I made this one of my friend's Danni.

Pontoon Bridge

Hello fellow readers and welcome back today's, blog post is about what we are doing for English. So for English today we are learning about Pontoon bridges.

The Pontoon bridges were made so that the army could get across the river with no struggle and it would be easier for them. The Pontoon Bridges were made from boats on the bottom or something that would float then it went wood and they would tie the boats and the woods together, the last thing they would place was the wooden planks. The Pontoon bridges would be reusable because they would be able to make them then once they were done they would be able to come undone and built somewhere else.

Pita-Pocket

Hello fellow readers and welcome back today's, blog post is about what we did in cooking class this week. So for Home Economics, we made Pitta Bread's but first, we had to do our hygienic routine which is something we do in all of our cooking lessons. We also had to work in groups there were two other people in my group sadly we only got one photo and that was the end result but I do have the recipe for it. In the Pita-Pockets my group had letters, ham, onion, tomato, cheese. To be able o put everything in we had to cut it open. Some of the nutrients are in the ham/chicken which would be the fats, the lettuce would go into vitamins along with the cucumber, and tomato, red onion. The cheese would go into the protein and the carrot would be going the minerals and carbohydrates, and the pita pockets themselves contain water along with the lettuce.

Schooner

Hello fellow readers and welcome back today's blog post is about what we are doing for English today. So for English today we are doing what a Schooner boat looks like and what we might be able to see if we were looking off the front of the boat.

A Schooner boat is a type of sailing vessel it is most know for its rig, fore-and-aft rigged on all its 2 sides or for its more mats the meaning of the word Schooner is to skip over water or like you were to skip stones. It's very long in size it's a brown-looking boat with gray sails the shape of the boat is kind of like a banana but it looks to be flatter at the backside of the boat and on the very front of the boat there is a long pole. If you were standing on the very front of the boat you would probably be able to see for about 1 mile.

Here is a picture of the boat

The regular U-boat was around 214 feet long and this boat would carry 12 torpedoes and 35 men. This boat would be able to travel underwater for about 2 hours. The U-boat was the best boat ever built by the German's it was also the best sophisticated than the other boats that were built by different nations at that time.
