Hello fellow readers and welcome back today's blog post is about what we are doing for English today. So for English today we are doing what a Schooner boat looks like and what we might be able to see if we were looking off the front of the boat.
A Schooner boat is a type of sailing vessel it is most know for its rig, fore-and-aft rigged on all its 2 sides or for its more mats the meaning of the word Schooner is to skip over water or like you were to skip stones. It's very long in size it's a brown-looking boat with gray sails the shape of the boat is kind of like a banana but it looks to be flatter at the backside of the boat and on the very front of the boat there is a long pole. If you were standing on the very front of the boat you would probably be able to see for about 1 mile.
Here is a picture of the boat
Hi Felicity
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your Do Now, you have a nice balance of research as well as your own words. I would have liked to see some more details about what you could see looking out from a Schooner, would you see big cities, or maybe endless water?
