Hello fellow readers and welcome back to my blog post todays blog post is about the beep test we did in PE hurumanu.

I think we did the fitness test is  so we can see how fast we run then when we do the next one we can see if we bet are score in the next one. My results of the beep test are 4.4 but the next one I we try to bet my score in runing. On Monday we did some other traning there are the results Vertical Jump M1: 2.1, M2: 2.4, Sit and Reach:5, Sit Ups: 15, Grip Test: 21. One of the area I need to work on is runing so that I can bet myb score in the next beep test we do Im going to improve by running more in pe hurumanu so that I can get a higher score in the next beep test.I think I work successfully with others because I cheered them on when they were runing in the beep test my feelings effect others was beause I cheerd them on wich made them feel happy on the insde.I helped someone that was struggling by cheering them when they were struggling.

  2. Draw a picture of it on A4.

On your blog answer the following questions.

  • Where does the food come from (e.g. is it from another province or country, was it purchased or made locally)?  I get them form a plant in my backyard.

  • How many kilometers away did the food travel to get to you? It dose not need to travel at all

  • What are the main ingredients?

  • How is the food packaged?

  • What resources do you need to produce this food item (e.g. land, water, oil, food, etc.)?

Art Humumanu

Hello fellow readers and welome back to my blog post this blog post is about Art  and the learning Story that we did for art there is the Learning Story I did some of the things I did its only my writing. For Art we had to do a Stop Motion fime on Manaakitanga our film was basted on clean our Nation.

What we did:

  • For art this term we did a thing called Stop Motion, for this we had to get into groups but we did not get to choose who we were in a group with. The people in my group was Risha, Gerald, Matt. The Stop Motion for our group was about Manaakitanga

What I learned:
  • I learned that it is good to work with different people and to always put your rubbish in the bin also how to  use Stop Motion. We also learned about Quentin Blake in the last term of week 8.

What I enjoyed:
  • I enjoyed making the stop motion people and the background we did are Stop Motion on paper the people in my group  were very helpful at some times they were being silly but we got it done art was a very fun time they were silly.

What I found difficult:
  • The thing I found difficult was drawing the background and then doing the outline of it and two of the people in my group were not doing what they were supposed to do instead they would talk to each other all the time instead of helping.

There is the film ....

Fantastic Mr Fox

Hello fellow readers and welcome to my blog post this is about some people we met in the Fantastic Mr Fox book that my group is reading the author of this book is Roald Dahl. There is a Google drawing I did on the three people we met ib the frist chapter.

00-20Calm; smoke rises vertically.Calm
12-510Shown by direction of wind smoke drift, but not by wind vanes.bbLight
26-1240Wind felt on face, leaves rustle; ordinary vanes moved by wind.Light
313-2080 Leaves and small twigs in constant motion; wind extends light flag.Gentle
421-29130Raises dust and loose paper; small branches are moved.Moderate
530-39190Small trees in leaf begin to sway; crested wavelets form on inland waters.Fresh
640-50250Large branches in motion; whistling heard in telephone wires; umbrellas used with difficulty.Strong
751-61320Whole trees in motion; inconvenience felt walking against the wind.Strong
862-74390Breaks twigs off trees; generally impedes progress.Gale
975-87470Slight structural damage.Gale
1088-101550Seldom experienced inland; trees uprooted; considerable structural damage occurs.Whole gale

Wind speed - Making an anemometer.

Anemometer

MATERIALS

  1. Straws  (x4)
  2. Cups (x4)
  3. Pin
  4.   Pencil
  5.   Tape

STEPs

  1.  The frist step is to get 4 staws, 4 Cups, a Pin, a pencil and some Tape.
  2.  The next step is to put a hole in the cups then put 2   straws together ones done put the straws throw the cups and tape the end of the straw to the cup do the same with the other 2 straws and cups.
  3.
  4.

Once you have made an anemometer we are going to record the wind speed.

Group size: 5

You will need:

Anemometer (above)

Roles:

  • Timekeeper
  • Counter
  • Recorder
  • Anemometer Manager
  • Wind generator
  1. Mount the anemometer in a place that has full access to the wind from all directions.
  2. When the time keeper says "Go", the counter in each group will count how many times the marked cup passes them in one minute and write it down.
  3. If possible, repeat the above step four (4) times and record the average number of spins on the chart.

FINDINGS

  • Record how many times it spins using the table below.
You will need to create the wind yourself by blowing. Get 4 different wind speeds by blowing.

You will need to time them and count the number of spins.

Time IntervalNumber of Spins
1.20 sec10
2.
3.
4.
  • Can you make a statement connecting the number of spins of your anemometer and the speed of the wind?

CONCLUSION:

Hurumanu..The Zero Waste Climate Solution science 2019

Hello fellow readers and welcome back to my blog post

Aim: To learn practical ways of recycling so that we can make our world a better place.

Video questions:

What has human activity done to our planet?
It has made a unnatural form of greenhouse gasses.
What is Zero Waste?
Definition:  One of the quickest and cheapest ways a community can immediately reduce climate impact.

What stuff has a carbon footprint?
Some of the thing that have carbon footprints are:
Phones, cars, bottles etc. What are 4 easy things to help our planet?
  1.   Reduce
  2.   Redesign
  3. Reuse
  4.  Repair
What do we need to recycle?

  1. Cans
  2. Bottles
  3. Glass
  4. Plastic

What does recycling do to our planet?
The things we recycling does to our planet is it reuse Co2 Emissions

How much of our rubbish is made up of food scraps?
50%= Compostable materials
What does methane gas do to our planet?
Methane 84x more potent then Co2 over the short term.

What does soil do to carbon dioxide in the atmosphere?
It pulls carbon down from the atmosphere.
What do using zero waste practices do to our planet?
To low the Co2 Emisssions and reuse more trash and reduce more trash

    What is a carbon footprint?

    What is your Carbon Footprint?

You are now going to look at your own carbon footprint by taking a questionaire. Remember to 'Add details to improve '.

Based on the questionaire what is your:

    1. Ecological Footprint
    2. Carbon Footprint

How many planets did you have?

What is your personal Earth overshoot day?

    ENERGY SAVING TIPS FILM

    Name 4 of the tips.

    1.
    2.
    3.

    MY INVESTIGATION.

Image result for rates of decomposition

    • Choose 6 items from the list.
    • Investigate them using Google.
    • Answer the 4 questions below.

    Name:
    1. How long does this resource take to decompose?
    2. What resource / fossil fuel are they made from?
    3. How does making this object contribute to climate change?
    4. How is this resource recycled?

    -Bag 3 Desert Water cycle
-Bag 3 had a small amount of water
-The acidity of Bag 3 was low

    Conclusion:

Bag 1- In conclusion for bag 1 I think it was not as good as bag 2 but it was the same as bag 3.

Bag 2- In  conclusion for bag 2 I think it was better then  bag 1 and bag 2.

Bag 3- In conclusion for bag 3 I know it wasn't as good as it could as It could be.

Draw a labelled diagram of the Water Cycle

    Water cycle words:

    Acidification
It the action or process of making or becoming acidic.

The affect that Acidification has on climate change is that humus burn more and more fossil fuels, the concentration of carbon dioxide in our atmosphere which leaves bubbles in the ocean.

    Deforestation
The action of clearing a wide area of trees.

The affect that Deforestation has on

This was the most I could do hope you enjoy it.
